Podium Analytics partners with Pinsent Masons to reduce incidence and impact of injury in sport

17 May 2023 – Podium Analytics (“Podium”), the NGO and charity committed to reducing injury in youth and grassroots sport, and Pinsent Masons, one of the leading international law firms, have announced a new partnership.

The collaboration sees Pinsent Masons appointed as Podium Analytics’ official legal partner. Podium Analytics is working to create safer sport through groundbreaking research and innovation, including the development of new injury prevention strategies, specific research, and education and training for young athletes, coaches, parents and sports organisations. Pinsent Masons will draw on its market-leading expertise in advising on all aspects of sport, from grassroots to elite competition, to support Podium Analytics.

Andy Hunt, CEO of Podium Analytics, commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Pinsent Masons to advance our mission. We have a shared ambition to use knowledge and understanding to continually advance positive change in sport including steps to create safer sporting environments for future generations. Head injury alone is a real source of concern to parents, coaches and young people and, in order to tackle issues such as these, we must drive research and innovation forward. In Pinsent Masons, we have selected a firm that has a considerable track record of innovation, excellence and a depth of understanding gained from working across sport. Their guidance and advice will be a key part in helping us to achieve our objectives.”

Trevor Watkins, Head of Sport at Pinsent Masons, added: "We are thrilled to be appointed by Podium Analytics to deliver advice across the breadth and depth of their business. Their aims and objectives reflect the positive impact we strive to make through the role we play in sport. We do so not just as advisors but with many of our team personally involved in sport as participants, parents, investors, directors, owners and sponsors. It’s a key sector for our global business and we are delighted to be able to support Podium Analytics.”

Podium Analytics is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to reducing youth sports injuries through data analysis, research and education. Pinsent Masons’ strong reputation for its commitment to corporate social responsibility and significant sporting expertise and experience make them the ideal partner to advise Podium Analytics.
