8 February 2024 – We are delighted to announce that the SportSmart injury management app has been shortlisted in The 2024 Sports Technology Awards (STA).
SportSmart is a first-of-its-kind, free app (and supporting programme) available to schools, clubs, parents, and players over 18 to log, monitor and manage sports injury. It supports users in reporting and preventing injury; the data feeds pioneering youth and grassroots sport research, plugging the existing data gap and driving systemic change.
SportSmart has been shortlisted in the ‘Digital’ category, which celebrates electronic tools, systems, devices and resources for use across all types of sport.
This year's STA shortlist has been made from hundreds of entries across the globe, reflecting the ever-growing significance of technology in shaping the future of sports.
The shortlist includes leading tech brands such as Google, Apple, and Sony, alongside exciting start-ups and innovative. The Awards have been judged by leading technologists, business visionaries and champion athletes. Renowned figures such as Sir Steve Redgrave, Nasser Hussein, Stef Reid and Adam Lallana, along with representatives from Magic Johnson Enterprises, FIFA, PGA European Tour, ATP, and TikTok, have scrutinised the submissions, ensuring that only the most innovative and impactful technologies make it to the shortlist.
