5 February 2025 – We are delighted to announce that the SportSmart injury management app has again been named a finalised in the Sports Technology Awards.
SportSmart is a first-of-its-kind, free app (and supporting programme) available to schools, clubs, parents, and players over 18 to log, monitor and manage sports injury. It supports users in reporting and preventing injury; the data feeds pioneering youth and grassroots sport research, plugging the existing data gap and driving systemic change.
SportSmart has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Health, Wellness and Wearables Technology’ category, which celebrates electronic tools, systems, devices and resources for use across all types of sport.
This year's shortlist has been made from hundreds of entries across the globe, reflecting the ever-growing significance of technology in shaping the future of sports.
This year’s all-star judging panel – a powerhouse mix of tech visionaries, business heavyweights, and sports legends – didn’t have it easy. Names like Alan Wyn Jones, Stef Reid, and Eni Aluko along with experts from F1, ATP, TikTok and Swansea and Purdue Universities, sifted through hundreds of entries to single out only the most brilliant innovations.
“The 2025 shortlist is a showcase of the sheer ingenuity shaping the future of sport,” said Rebecca Hopkins, CEO of The STA Group. “From Silicon Valley giants to bold startups, these innovations are rewriting the playbook. We can’t wait to celebrate their impact.”
