Dr Carly McKay is a globally recognised researcher specialising in sport injury prevention. She holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Calgary (Canada) and a PhD in Kinesiology from Western University (Canada).
Carly has 18 years of experience working with community partners to design and deliver prevention strategies in youth, grassroots, and professional sports. She has worked with sport governing bodies on research and education projects, including the Rugby Football Union (RFU), England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and FIFA.
Carly maintains a part-time role as Reader in Injury Prevention at the University of Bath and is a founding member of the UK Collaborating Centre on Injury and Illness Prevention in Sport (UKCCIIS), which is one of 11 International Research Centres for the Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health supported by the International Olympic Committee. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport.
