Data-Informed Decisions

An informational series to help improve data literacy skills and support injury management

  • The Data-Informed Decisions Programme, developed by the SportSmart Applied Research Team helps schools and clubs understand what, how and why everyday information can help to support the decisions you make about reducing the risk of injury.

Often without realising it, the decisions we make every day are shaped by the information around us. And it’s not just numbers; it’s the interactions, observations and information we take in – and everything in between.

The Data-Informed Decisions programme is a series of informational resources, delivered by email, for anyone interested in understanding why data is useful and how best to use it when looking to reduce the risk of sports injuries at their organisation.

Over six weeks, we'll addresses key concepts – from where to start, guidelines for good data collection, communicating what your data might mean, common challenges you might encounter and top tips on how to make the most of what you collect.
