  • Magdalen College School is a leading independent day school in the heart of Oxford. We educate boys from 7 – 18 and girls in the Sixth Form.

The school has an extensive Sports programme and is fortunate to benefit from over 30 acres of playing fields, plus access to world-class University of Oxford sporting facilities.

Sport plays a huge part in the life of all pupils at MCS. We provide a sporting option for everyone and inspire each pupil to be the best they can be. There are now more pupils playing sport at MCS than ever before, which is partly why we are so excited to be supporting Podium in their valuable work. We are keen to do anything we can to support young people whose sporting ambitions have been affected by injury, and look forward to working with Podium for years to come.

  • “The Sports Department at MCS is incredibly proud to be able to support Podium in their work going forwards. We hope it’s something our pupils will benefit from now and in the future.”
    Ed Dupee, Director of Sport

  • Founded in 1480 by William of Waynflete, Magdalen College School is located in the centre of Oxford, on the banks of the River Cherwell and within the heart of the University. It is part of the foundation of Magdalen College with which it still retains close links, and the school provides 16 boy choristers for the renowned College Choir.

In terms of academic results and university entry, MCS is year-on-year one of the most consistently high performing schools in the country. The school was named the Southeast Independent Secondary School of the Year 2019 by The Sunday Times. MCS is dedicated to fostering partnerships with the local community, hosting a wide range of projects and events annually to ensure pupils make a positive and lasting contribution to their communities, now and in the future.
