NGO and charity committed to reducing injury in sport

Update from the Research Strategy Advisory Board

  • On Monday 25th September, Podium’s Research Strategy Advisory Board met at Pinsent Masons to deliver their research and findings on four key areas of focus:

    • Communicating Risk
    • Workload and Adaptation
    • Preventative Screening
    • Mental Health

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide Podium with valuable and independent insight and input into the research strategy and programmes undertaken by Podium directly, by the Podium Analytics Institute for Youth Sports Medicine and Technology at the University of Oxford or Podium’s academic network, and in collaboration with National and International Governing Bodies of Sport and other key sports stakeholders.

This in turn will ensure that Podium achieves maximum impact from its research work regarding injury reduction, prevention, and treatment across children and young adults across sport.

  • The Advisory Board comprises some of the leading minds across sport, sports medicine, research and athlete development. This diverse group works to shape our strategy, providing the insights, constructive development and approaches that will deliver lasting change in the real world.
